Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted above the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.– Psalm 46:10
There is a great danger in every society, the danger that even a lost man Socrates understood. The danger is in striving too much. Whether that be striving for the sake of God’s glory or striving for the sake of putting food on the table. Although much striving and busyness can be founded on the world’s greatest intentions, yet they can still be poinous to our intended goal. God is perfectly in control of all your affairs and so let us cease from our incessant need to be ever moving and ever working and let us simply learn to… Be still and know that He is God.
Let’s pray as a church family to learn together the art of being still. Let’s pray together for the Lord’s peace, that peace which surpasses all understanding that is able to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And let us pray that through our stillness and trust that we would guard our lives from the barrenness of busy lives.
