SOVEREIGN GRACE
To say that we hold God’s sovereign grace up as a distinctive is to say that we believe salvation is completely and totally in the hands of God. It is a “monergistic” work not a “synergistic work”. Meaning that God saves sinners without their help in the matter at all. We believe that mankind is totally depraved. We believe that God unconditionally elects some men and women to salvation. We believe that the Father, through Christ, has limited the atonement to only those whom He has set His love upon. We furthermore believe that as God has seen fit to love that people, His grace to them is irresistible and all that are to come, will come to. We also believe that those whom God has irresistibly drawn by this sovereign grace, they will persevere to the end.
John 15:16
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
